This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

[oopic] Help with ocounter2l and oEvent

hey,

I am making a password protected electronic lock system that is controlled with a keypad or mobile phone. The mobile phone is my primary concern. The lock can be opened with either the key pad or a call/text to the phone. the cell phone is cheap so it only has midi tones, I want to use only the high and low tones for the ring tones. Using the headphone out I would like to go straight to the oopic and then have it read the data and then decide what to do with it. I was wondering what would be the best object to use for this? i was thinking ocounter2l but I am not sure. I have firmware c1.x+

My second thing is for the keypad, I am using okeypadP. I am using the case selection

Select Case KPD

Case 1234

case 3333

And I was wondering if there is a way to use the # symbol as an enter so I can have the lock do different things. so is there a way to do that? Also how do i physically connect the keypad to the oopic? in the manual it says connect to pins 8-15 but aren't those the vdd and oscillators?

Thank you for your help!
