This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

Re: [oopic] Re: Pololu Deluxe Serial Adapter

I will do that, Thanks. I am very anxious to work on the oopic again. I did have a desktop that I connected the parallel programming cable to and I enjoyed it very much, but I am away from home alot now and have a laptop to work with. I am going to fill my extra time with the oopic. My schooling got in the way as well, but now my schooling is almost over and I want to enter the relm of electronics again. I like this oopic group alot and you have helped out so very much. Thanks for the prompt replies and the great information. I will contact you as soon as I get it up and going. thanks.

Just for giggles, get a couple of 330 ohm resistors to put in series
with the pins. They shouldn't affect performance but they will
defend against crossed wiring. Once the system is known to be
correct, they can be removed.

I'm confident in the instructions because I just connected my own
Pololu adapter. I also tried the current limiting resistors and they
don't seem to cause a problem and they certainly help protect against
bad wiring.

Protect that OOPic...
