This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

I've just found out one of the rules of doing this kind of thing. Make
sure your cables are working ok. All my problems were due to one of
the sensor cables that came with the Sharp GP2D120's only had the
ground pin inside the connector that attaches to the sensor connected.
The other two pins just had a bit of wire in place and no metal
contact. (Took me a frustrating while to sort that one out :) ) I've
ordered some spare cables now so should hopefully be in full working
order by tomorrow.

One of the good things about the OOBoard is it comes with a breadboard
for putting custom electronics on. So I'll use both capacitor tips as
well.

Thanks for the help.
