This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

[oopic] sharing serial lines

I want to set up a communication with a dvm and was thinking of using
the serial lines on i/o 22, 23. I plan to send control info,
infrequently to the meter and read back the read values. It wouldn't
be much trouble to use other i/o but since the buffer is already on
the oopic-c connected to those two I could save some parts. I'm just
not sure if that would lock out new serial loading by doing that.
Guess I could always upload with the program connector on the parallel
port but that's not quite as convienent

Does the SCP program use those lines as well? If so does that lock out
serial programming too?
