This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

Something like this will do it in one step
http://www.acroname.com/robotics/parts/S22-USB-SERIAL-INT-CONN.html

The other way is to use an RS232 level shifter to convert between TTL
and RS232 levels http://www.pololu.com/products/pololu/0126/ and then
a USB->Serial cable
http://www.cablesnmor.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=165

I haven't tried the acroname gadget but I suspect it will work fine.
You will need to use Device Manager to change the COM port to <= 4 if
you are using V5 of the IDE.

If you use the acroname gadget, post back about your results.
