This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

[oopic] NC2004A LCD Screen with Modtronix LCD2S daughter board

Hi,
My screen has turned up. I've got a:

http://www.modtronix.com/product_info.php?cPath=96_140&products_id=274

Does anyone know if the OOBoard can communicate via SPI (This is how
it is set up by default, but the daughter board has dip switches to
change it to I2C (Address, 0,1 or 2) if required. If I do need the I2C
route, it says it requires between 2k2 and 1k pull up resistor. Does
anyone know if the OOBord has this pull up resistor in place (The
documentation for the daughter board says this is usually on the
master controller board)

Another think I'm thinking of is powering the screen. It requires 5v,
would the OOBoard be capable of powering the screen as well or should
I get a different battery for this?

Sorry for all the questions but seeing the manual has caused me to ask
them ;-) (The manual is on the above web site if anyone is interested)

Cheers,

Jas
