There are a variety of things that could go wrong, but we'll need much
more detail about the procedure you used and the errors that you
encountered before the reboot. What OS are you using? Are you using a
USB/RS232 converter? Are you sure of your cable connections? Do you
have any other serial port software open? Everything that you can think
of to tell us will probably be useful.
