I work for Comfile, and this discussion popped up for me on Google
Alerts. First of all, the Cubloc UARTs can be set to 7E1, and the IDE
and programming software is free. Is the Cubloc otherwise acceptable
for the application? Without knowing the rest of the requirements,
it's hard to say. I'd recommend downloading the manual and looking for
the relevant commands and limitations. You can also contact our
support for any specific questions.
I'm not going to compare OOPic and Cubloc, but would like to say that
OOPic's programming and peripheral system is amazing. The Cubloc is
aimed at a somewhat different market, though there are probably
applications where the two controllers are interchangeable. It's
possible to envision projects where both controllers could be used at
the same time to handle different tasks.
