This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

[oopic] Communicating between 2 oopics

I'm working on a senior project to build a tank style rover robot. We are using the ooPIC II for our programming. Another team with a navigation system is going to send our team travel instructions. We're trying to make it where they send a byte for forw, rev, L turn, R turn and a byte for distance.

Does anyone know if this can be accomplished through the serial transmit & serial receive pins?

Or if there is a better way to do this?

Thanks,
jay
