This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

[oopic] LCD Displays

I have just about finished up a little project to use the oopic-c to
control a matrix of relays and switch the signals to an external dvm.
Ended up trying a few displays to see which I liked best. The one that
I chose from melabs.com works well. it has a buss for i2c as well as
serial but I didn't get around to trying that part. The code for the
oLCDSE worked just fine with their controller at 9600 baud. It is a
bit cheeper than the scott edwards device and they also sell just the
serial controller if you have a standard lcd display on hand. I made
up the pcb to connect to a standard display but that uses up a lot of
I/O. Posted a couple of pics in the photos page if anyone is
interrested to see the project.
