This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

[oopic] Single 6V battery constraint

For a competition, batteries are constrained to 4 x 1.5V batteries (or
a 4.8 single battery pack).

The plan was to use ooPIC oServerSP Object to control direction and
speed of an RC servo-motor.

However, notes at www.oopic.com/oservosp.htm advise:

"be sure not to power the servo from the same power supply as the
ooPIC. A servo will pull large amounts of power in quick surges
causiong the servo's power supply to periodically drop below 4.5
volts.. The ooPIC has a brown otu circuti that resets the ooPIC if its
power goes under 4.5 volts. Using separate power suppplies will
prevent the ooPIC from resetting when driving a servo".

Is there a workaround for this problem, or does the constraint
effectively eliminate the use of the ooPIC for this competition?
