This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

I don't think there is a "Power Good" LED. There is an "EAC" LED that
blinks rapidly (looks dim) on the clock signal for the EEPROM.

The 3 LEDs will light up when the buttons are pushed whether the OOPic
works of not.

Check the 5V power at the EEPROM. Pin 8 is +5V and pins 1,2,3,4 & 7
are ground. Measure between 1 & 8. This keeps the probes apart and
makes it less likely you will short the voltage regulator.

MANY users connect a battery or wall wart to the board and get it
backwards. The small regulator for the OOPic and EEPROM is instantly
fried.

Check the 5V on the 3 pin connector for IOLine 1 (for example). The
center pin is +5V and the outside pin is Gnd. This power comes from
the large regulator and is separate from the regulator for the OOPic.

Pull the EEPROM (power off first) and then power up try to download a
program. There is the possibility that there is an errant program in
the EEPROM and the OOPic won't respond to the serial port. If
communications with the IDE is established, there will be a dialog box
telling you to insert the EEPROM. Don't get it backwards!

Whatever program you download, make sure it has:

OOPIC.Delay = 500

as the first executable statement.
