quick.
I am Ted, Scotts new partner at Savage Innovations and the ooBug guy.
Call me Ted or ... try not to use too many bad words.
Compiler - Yes, we know we have got some work to do here. Please
understand, we have been on a two year journey to get the ooBug out the
door as a test bed for a new ooPic and new compiler. Now that we can see
a little daylight we will try and address the larger problems.
New ooPic? Did I hear that right? Yea... later this year we hope to put
out a new ooPic based on the Microchip Pic 24 family IC. We are trying
anyhow. Same basic board that runs the ooBug less the sensors and motor
driver. Pic 24 with a Pic 18 USB controller and of course the Soundgin
built in.
For those that have not heard, we now make a robot. It is the ooBug
based on the Pic 24 and Pic 18 USB controller. Soundgin, Object Detect,
Line Following, Light and Dark Sensing and more. Very expandable and
easy to program with the BioLab software. If you are the dev type, plug
in your ICD2 and code away. All in a 3.25 dia (approx) package. Check it
out at oobug.com.
If anyone would like to save us a bunch of time, compile a list of
compiler complaints and post it here as a new topic. We will take that
and do what we can. Maybe put a few asterisks by the worst offenders? It
is appreciated.
Ted
