This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

[oopic] parallel to serial port

Hello all,

I was trying to print on my PC's screen a simple message such
as "hello".The thing is that I have the original OOPic which comes
with a parallel programming cable and in order to print to my PC I had
to use objects such as oSerial which they need serial communication.I
used a converter to connect my OOPic to PC but when I tried to
configure the cable I had a message that serial port couldn't be found.

What might me the problem? Is there any way to use the parallel port
and still to be able to print to my comp's screen from a simple phrase
to a sonar's output?
