I was rechecking all of my solder joints (on the LCD itself), and I
happened to notice that one of the pins on the Piggy Back had not been
soldered. I purchased the Piggy Back preassembled, so the
manufacturer must simply have forgotten to solder one of the pins.
After soldering it, the unit works great; the code I posted before
runs perfectly.
