This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

I assume you have an OOPic S board. The B.2.2+ just indicates the
firmware version, the board which could be S, R or C-module.

In any event, on the S board there are 2 connectors that the cable
will fit. The one near the power inlet is correct.

Some IBM Thinkpads don't have a proper parallel port. There is file
'activeCable.jpg' in the files section that addresses this.

If you have installed Port95NT.exe if required (see
www.oopic.com/dloadp.html) and there is power to the board (check the
5V power on pins 2 (ground) and 4 (+5) of the programming header),
programming should work easily because the cable connects directly to
the E0 EEPROM.

I don't know which version of the IDE you are using but you might try
V5. I have never done parallel programming with V6 and have done very
little with V5. Given the B.2.2+ chip, you are far better off doing
serial programming.

If you have the S board, you need to add a level shifter to IOLines 22
and 23 (pins 37 & 39 on the header). Try

may also work but I haven't tried it
