This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

connected to the I2C port on the OOPic-R board, and that it needs to
be powered as well. I have made all necessary connections according
to the diagram and downloaded some sample code (the code that came
with the GPS) to the OOPic 6.0 compiler. There were no errors with
the downloaded code. I don't know what to do at this point. I'm
thinking the device is not connected to the right ports on another
connection needs to be made. I also tried connecting it the PGR port
by the RS-232 connector to see if that would work. I still had no
luck. If anyone can help in any way please let me know.

This happens to me all the time. If I power an external circuit by
itself I'm usually forgetting to connect a common ground between the
OOPIC and the external circuit. Maybe that's the problem here too.
