This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

[oopic] OOPic-R and Total Robotics GPS

I've been trying to interface the DS-GPM GPS module from Total Robotics with an OOPic-R. The wiring schematic that came with the module indicates that the SDA and SCL input lines need to be connected to the I2C port on the OOPic-R board, and that it needs to be powered as well. I have made all necessary connections according to the diagram and downloaded some sample code (the code that came with the GPS) to the OOPic 6.0 compiler. There were no errors with the downloaded code. I don't know what to do at this point. I'm thinking the device is not connected to the right ports on another connection needs to be made. I also tried connecting it the PGR port by the RS-232 connector to see if that would work. I still had no luck. If anyone can help in any way please let me know.

Thanks,
Kev1814
