This Forum is Dedicated For all The Object Oriented PIC Lovers .......... The concept behind OOPic is straight forward. Use preprogrammed multitasking Objects from a library of highly optimized Objects to do all the work of interacting with the hardware. Then write small scripts in Basic, C, or Java syntax styles to control the Objects. During operation, the Objects run continuously and simultaneously in the background while the scripts run in the foreground telling the objects what to do.

Re: [oopic] New range finder needed

I'll keep it in mind, but I'm not doing anything for a little while, so I
have time to think it over. After further testing with the SRF08, I am
actually getting better readings than I thought, in that an average of ten
readings gives a reliable return plus or minus only a couple cm, and the
average turns out to have a surprisingly tight variance most of the time,
with occasional lapses. There's quite a bit of information in the average
reading, and the variance seems non-random, so there is probably useful
information there. However, I have much more testing to do to figure out
what can be gleaned from this signal. It certainly isn't what I thought was
there, but exactly what I am seeing is not so clear.
