[oopic] erase eeprom

Hi Guys
my problem is outlined below -

Firmware: B.2.2+
Compiler: 6.1
OoPic-R board
4k (24xx32) EEProm in E0
Problem:
Can't erase eeprom –`ERASE EEPROM' dialogue comes up and allows me
to type, capacity, etc. but when I choose `erase eeprom',I get another
dialogue box that tells me my `The connected device is different than
the target device,

Target device: rats
Connected Device: vB2p
I can program fine, I can program over what's in the eeprom, but I
can't erase it.
Any takers?
