I haven't used these chips in years [actually used the '84 chip
before the "A" version]. However, RA5 is the /Mclr pin, and on the
new 16F88 chips as well as many other newer PIC chips, the /Mclr pin
can be configured for use as input instead of reset, but it can NOT
be configured as an output pin.
